Vinamilk records record net sales in the second quarter of 2021 | Business

Hanoi (VNA) – the Dairy products from Vietnam JSC – Vinamilk, the largest dairy company in Vietnam, recorded a record net revenue of VND15.71 trillion (US$682.57 million) in the second quarter of 2021, up 1.4% year-on-year, according to its financial report.

The figure also increased by 19.2% compared to the previous quarter.

The company’s after-tax profit topped 2.86 trillion dong in the period, down 7 percent year-on-year but up 10 percent from the first quarter.

It earned VND 13.25 trillion in net revenue domestically, up 18.5 percent from the previous quarter.

A report by Kantar WorldPanel showed that Vinamilk maintained its lead as the most popular dairy brand in Vietnam in 2020 and ranked first in the sale of fast-moving consumer goods for the fourth consecutive year.

In the second quarter of 2021, the dairy company launched its Vinamilk Green farm system in Tay Ninh, Quang Ngai and Thanh Hoa provinces.

Its subsidiary Moc Chau Milk posted net sales of 790 billion VND, up 7.6 percent from the same period last year and hit 56 percent of its annual target.

Vinamilk recorded a net export revenue of almost VND 1.610 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.2%.

The Middle East continues to be its largest export market, along with others from the United States and China./.
