Although they’ve been together for less than a decade, the Beatles’ music has transcended generations and is just as popular today as it was in the ’60s. The surviving Beatles, namely Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, enjoyed renewed success in their later years, as well as untold riches.
Starr in particular has been tying his belt and working his socks off, having now done more projects than any of the other band members since the breakup.
McCartney lays claim to being the wealthiest member of The Beatles by far, largely because he wrote a large majority of Beatles music and has since had a thriving solo career.
He is worth an estimated $1.2billion (£1billion), finding himself among the richest musicians for years.
Starr, meanwhile, is worth around $350m (£292m), and while that might seem like pennies compared to McCartney, it has earned him the title of richest batsman in the world.
Starr defeated fellow rock stars Dave Grohl, former drummer for rock band Nirvana, Charlie Watts, late drummer for international sensation Rolling Stones, and Phil Collins, former drummer for Genesis.

What may be most surprising about Starr’s fortune is that it’s not just the music that earns him millions.
Since 1970, Starr has released 20 albums, created his own band, starred in several films and written five books.
With all of his income streams, Starr’s net worth has grown by around $20m (£16m) every year since 2018.
This means Starr earns a monthly income of £1.6million.
Starr turned to acting after the Beatles, having had some experience in the business while the group was together, appearing in 38 projects since the group split.
He also has a surprisingly profitable property portfolio, owning homes in both America and the UK.
In 2014, the Los Angeles Times reported that Starr’s house in Surrey was worth between £15 million and £20 million.
Most of his authorship projects tell of his memories, experiences and photographs of his time as a Beatle.
Starr also got her hands on children’s books with Octopus’s Garden which features some of the Beatles music.
The Beatles broke up in 1970 after years of international fame and success, and 50 years later only Starr and McCartney remained.

Starr is the oldest Beatle, turning 82 on July 7, but still going strong, currently touring America and Canada.
Shortly after the breakup, Starr continued creating music and launching new projects, releasing albums, and starting her own solo career.
He often collaborated with other members of the Beatles and teamed up with McCartney and George Harrison in the 90s to release the Beatles’ first single since the group disbanded.
Together they also created The Beatles Anthology, which became a mini-series of interviews about their time together as a band.
Starr’s latest studio album was released in 2019, proving that he is now ready to leave the music industry even at the ripe old age of 80.
Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band has been performing and touring since 1989, changing members from time to time.
These tours helped cement his place as a musical icon following the disbandment of the band that made him famous in the first place.
In 2013, Forbes reported that he earned $300,000 (£250,000) per show on these tours, and with over 30 years of touring to add, it’s safe to say that this business alone has brought in million to Starr.
Thanks to his musical prowess, Starr was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice, first as a member of the Beatles in 1988 and then as a soloist in 2015.
