Kwebbelkop is a famous content creator on YouTube for his vlogs and gaming videos. He is one of the biggest online personalities in the Netherlands. Besides gaming, he also publishes his own games through his company, Webble Games. As of 2022, Kwebbelkop has a net worth of $20 million.
Kwebbelkop’s real name is Jordi van den Bussche. The curly-haired player was born on June 1, 1995, to Ben and Brigittela in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He was raised with a sister named Lauren.
When he was only two years old, his parents divorced, he chose to live with his mother and went to see his father twice a week. When he was six, he learned he had lazy eyes and underwent surgery. Four years later, he also discovered that he suffered from dyslexia.
His childhood was not easy and it didn’t help that his mother and stepfather were alcoholics. They often mistreated Jordi and his sister. Despite this, the Amsterdam native completed his studies in 2011.
Jordi started his YouTube channel in 2008, mainly for watching videos. After graduating, he shared his first content playing Call of Duty. However, he stopped uploading videos for a while because his computer was broken.
In 2012 he started making daily videos on games such as Minecraft, GTA 5, Assassin’s Creed, Happy Wheels and Skyrim. The following year, he worked with fellow up-and-coming YouTubers Jelly and Slogo to form the band Robust.
The trio gained popularity together for their vlogs, challenges, and gameplay. However, Kwebbelkop left the team in 2019 due to mental health issues and was replaced by Crainer. As a solo creator, Kwebbelkop now has 14.9 million subscribers on the video platform.
Unfortunately, since April 2021, its audience has dropped by 90%. This is partly due to the decline in popularity of the games he plays, Fortnite being a prime example. Additionally, some fans have pointed out that Jordi’s content hasn’t evolved over time.
In 2018 Jordi released an indie game called Impossible Runner which achieved decent success. When venturing out on his own, Jordi started a game development company called Webble Games.
His first project was Havocado, a multiplayer fighting game launched in 2019. The following year, he became the owner of a YouTube channel called Tiger. He frequently appeared in the videos, but the main animator was another personality named Hassan.
Due to an internal conflict, Jordi left Tiger in 2021. After that, he returned to focusing on his main channel. He also invested in the Backbone mobile phone accessory and co-founded an NFT launch pad called LaunchMyNFT.
Net worth and earnings
Kwebbelkop’s YouTube channel averages around 15 million views. Assuming a CPM rate of $4, that means Jordi would earn around $60,000 per month in ad revenue alone. At the height of the channel’s popularity, he would have easily earned double that figure.
As a popular content creator, he mainly earns revenue through YouTube ads, branded deals, and affiliate marketing. He also plans to launch a collection of merchandise soon. That’s why he’s worth around $20 million.
In the past, Kwebbelkop dated a girl named Jamie, but they broke up in 2016. After that, he entered into a relationship with fellow YouTuber Azzyland, but that ended in 2020. Today, he is single and living his best life in a GTA. Inspirational penthouse 5 in Amsterdam. Kwebbelkop bought the property for $7.5 million in early 2022. On top of that, he drives around in a Mercedes G Wagen.
